Lego Technic Sets 2017 – All New Small Models

This is a second part of my Lego Technic 2017 sets overview article. In this part I’m listing small Lego Technic sets that were released in 2017. Lego Technic 42061 Telehandler

I have put this small set as the first one on my list, because it is my personal favorite of all these new 2017 small sets. Even if I also like the helicopter, the next one in my list, I still prefer Lego vehicle models to aircraft models. So that is why this set is my favorite one of the small sets. It contains 260 pieces that are of the red, black and gray color. The features of this telehandler are 4-wheel steering and the lifting arm can be extended. This set is designed for kids of the age 8 to 14 years and is an ideal choice for Lego Technic beginners. Because with this set you or your kids can familiarize with the Lego Technic mechanics.

Lego Technic 42057 Ultralight Helicopter

The second one on my list is my second favorite set of the 2017 small Technic sets, a small ultralight helicopter. It features a 2-cylinder engine with moving pistons. The set contains 199 pieces, out of which most are of the white, black and red color. This set is ideal for 8 to 14 years old kids. The dimensions of the helicopter model are 4″ (12 cm) high, 9″ (25 cm) long and 7″ (18 cm) wide. The B model that you can build with this set is an Experimental Aircraft.

Lego Technic 42059 Stunt Truck

This Lego Technic set features a pull-back motor and it even has a ramp included as well, so it can be real fun playing with it. The model features a front bumper and it has nice low profile tires with rims. This set contains 142 pieces that are of the turquoise and black color. The dimensions of this stunt truck set are 7 x 3 x 3 inches (18 x 8 x 9 cm). The width of the ramp is 4 inches (12 cm). There is no actual B model for this set, but using this set together combined with the set reviewed at the bottom of this article (42058) you can build a 6 wheels truck. Lego Technic 42060 Roadwork Crew

This another small Lego Technic set consists of 2 vehicles, the truck with a trailer and the excavator. The trucks features working steering and the excavator features a moving arm. This set consists of 365 pieces and most of them are of the orange and gray color. This set is ideal for boys (or maybe some technic girls as well) of the age 7-14 years. The alternative model that you can build with this set is a Power Racer.

Lego Technic 42058 Stunt Bike

The last on my list is the smallest Lego Technic set of 2017 with just 140 pieces. They are of the yellow and black color. This model has the pull-black feature, too, and it contains a ramp as well. It features details like e.g. the lights or the exhaust. It is designed for kids of the age 7 to 14 years old. An alternative model 6-wheels truck can be built together with the 42059 set mentioned above. So you will need both of these sets to be able to build it.
