Can Adults Build Lego?
If you are wondering if it is OK for adults to build Legos, I will try to explain the answer to this question to you in this article.
It is absolutely OK for adults to build Lego. There are even Lego sets that are for adults, as these Lego models are marked 18+. And there are quite a lot of them. Models that belong to this category are, for example, the most advanced and exclusive large Lego Technic supercars sets (like the 42115 Lamborghini Sián or 42083 Bugatti Chiron set). Some larger Lego sets belong to this category, too, like the largest Lego set ever produced so far, the Lego Creator 10276 Colosseum model. Other examples of 18+ Lego sets are the collectible Star Wars helmets models (the 75276 Stormtrooper Helmet set that I own is one of them), or the new Lego category that was released in 2020, Lego Art, is 18+ too. This Lego series includes, for example, Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe’s portrait 31197 set.
Do Adults Like Lego?
Yes, many adults like Lego. Also, building a Lego can be a great form of relaxation, hobby, or even therapy. When I’m building a new Lego, I always feel relaxed. The children’s joy of building something new and functional is still with me. It is a great feeling. And, with the exclusive supercar Technic sets you can even see how the automotive engineering works, because, besides working steering and moving pistons in the engines of these vehicles, these sets also include some high-tech details, like a working gearbox. What, in my personal opinion, is a pretty complex mechanism with many gear wheels. That said, Legos are definitely good for your brain, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
And, I’m not embarrassed to say that I’m an adult who still buys and builds Lego. I’m 33 years old, but I know many older people than me who like Legos as well. Some of them hang in Lego Facebook groups like, for example, the Lego Technic one.
What is the Best Lego Set for Adults?
If you are buying a gift for your husband or whoever, and you are wondering what the best Lego set for adults is, you can check out my other article in which I have listed and briefly reviewed the top selection of Lego sets for adults that are currently available. I hope it will help you make your decision on which one to purchase. I believe that the best gift for many men would simply be a car Lego set, as cars or vehicles are exactly what the majority of men like, just like myself.
What is the Most Difficult Lego to Build?
My answer to this question is very simple. The 5 most difficult Lego sets to put together are:
- Lego Creator Colosseum 10276
- Lego Star Wars Millenium Falcon 75192
- Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle 71043
- Lego Harry Potter Diagon Alley 75978
- Lego Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer 75252
These are the most advanced Lego sets that I know about. And, it will surely take you a couple of hours to completely build them. In my opinion, these are also the coolest Lego sets that are currently available. And, the number one on this list (the Millenium Falcon set) is the Lego set that has the most pieces as of now.
Conclusion
To wrap this article up, I will just say that adults can build Lego without problems and there are many great Lego sets for adults to choose from. My personal favorite Lego theme is the Technic, as I love car models with details like moving pistons. Also, if you cannot decide on which Lego set you should buy for yourself or your partner, feel free to contact me, tell me something about yourself, and I will do my best to try to advise you on the best Lego model for you.
