Best Lego Sets for Adults

There are many adult Lego fans (like myself :)) and I think that the following 7 Lego models are a perfect choice for adults, especially men who like Legos. I have tried to choose the most popular and the most suitable Lego sets for adults that you can currently buy.

I will also briefly review each one of these models in this article. Namely, I will review 4 Lego Technic sets ideal for adults (three cars and one motorcycle), two Lego Star Wars sets and one Lego Ideas building kit. Now, let’s start with my reviews:

1. Lego Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 42115

The first one on my list is a realistic replica of the Lamborghini Sián concept supercar. Actually, it is a 1:8 scale model of this hypercar. It comes in a lime green color and features golden rims as well. This particular model is actually a real Lego set for adults because it is recommended (by Lego) for people who are 18+ years old. So, this is an official adult Lego set.

The main features include a cockpit with a realistic console, V12 engine with movable pistons, 8-speed working gearbox and 4-wheel drive. The whole kit consists of 3,696 parts.

These 2 Lego supercars are similar to this Lamborghini model, but they are a little older. The Lamborghini set is the newest one from the Technic’s supercars series. It was released in 2020.

2. Lego Star Wars Millenium Falcon 75192

The second one on my list is a Lego building kit from the Star Wars theme collection. Actually, this is officially the largest Lego set ever produced (as of the time of writing this article, June 2020). It consists of 7,541 pieces. To construct this Lego building kit, you will need a lot of patience and time. If that is something you don’t mind, check out my other article with the largest Lego sets.

The main features of this Star Wars starship replica include a lowering boarding ramp, removable hull panels and a cockpit with detachable canopy. It also comes with 7 minifigures: Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Older Han Solo, C-3PO, Rey and Finn. If you or your boyfriend is a sci-fi movies fan who likes Star Wars, this model will be an ideal gift for him.

3. Lego Technic Dom’s Dodge Charger 42111

Another one on my list is a vehicle model known from a famous movie too. It is a replica of the Dominic Toretto’s Dodge Charger from the Fast & Furious movie. This is a medium-sized Lego kit. It consists of 1,077 bricks. The exact car model of this set is a 1970s Dodge Charger R/T.

The main features of this building kit include a working steering system, an engine with moving pistons and an opening hood. Moreover, you will find two nitro bottles in the trunk.

If you or your husband is a fan of American muscle cars, this Dodge model is ideal for him, as it represents a classic muscle car. The dimensions of the final model are 6 inches (16 cm) wide, 15 inches (39 cm) long and 4 inches (11 cm) high.

4. Lego Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R 42107

This Lego Technic set is a replica of the Italian street motorcycle Ducati Panigale V4 R. Also, this is a Lego kit from this list that I personally own. I have bought it recently because I really like Lego Technic and motorcycles. I have also written a longer review of this building kit on this blog over here: Lego Technic Ducati Panigale review. There, you will also find some cool photos of this model that my brother has taken for me.

The motorcycle model consists of 646 pieces. Most of the parts are of red, black and gray color. The main features include a V4 engine with moving pistons, a working gearbox (first time introduced in a Lego motorcycle model), working suspension and a stand. 5. Lego Ideas Dinosaur Fossils 21320

Another Lego model on my list is a Lego building kit that features 3 dinosaur skeletons. Namely, they are: Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops and Pteranodon. Actually, I own this set too because when I was a kid, I liked dinosaurs and buying this Lego model brought me back to my childhood memories. What is also interesting about this set is that it was designed by a Lego fan and not by Lego designers. This guy submitted this Lego concept to Lego and then his idea won and went into production. All Lego Ideas theme sets are designed this way.

This model consists of 910 pieces and is a very nice build. Most of the bricks are of white color. This kit is recommended for people who are 16+ years old.

6. Lego Technic Liebherr R 9800 Excavator 42100

The next one on my list is a large Lego Technic set, the Liebherr R 9800 excavator. It consists of 4,108 pieces, which makes it one of the biggest Technic sets. It was designed in partnership with Liebherr. It can also be operated by the Lego Technic Control+ app. The model includes a Bluetooth-controlled Smart Hubs, 4 L Motors and 3 XL Motors. If you like big Lego sets and are a Lego Technic fan, this model will be an ideal option for you.

7. Lego Star Wars Stormtrooper Helmet 75276

And the last building kit for adults on my list will be another Lego set that I personally own as well. I bought it in summer 2020. You can read my detailed review of this Star Wars Lego display model. It also includes some nice photos. Actually, this one is another official adult Lego set because this set is marked as 18+. The whole building kit consists of 647 parts and it took me less than two hours to build it. I enjoyed the building process; for example, it was interesting to build the stand’s firm construction. Also, there are more “helmet Lego sets” like this one, so you might like to check those out as well before you make your final buying decision.
